EVALUATING THE BEAR...TESTING MY PERSONALITY.

You scored high in self-efficacy. Here are some things to consider about how this personality trait may affect you and your life. Keep in mind that high self-efficacy has benefits and drawbacks.

  • You are self-motivated, goal-oriented, single-minded and ambitious
  • You demonstrate persistence in the face of barriers and obstacles
  • You excel in goal-setting and persist until a task is complete
  • You can be demanding and inflexible in social situations
  • You can appear impatient and intolerant when others are pursuing another strategy
  • You may feel uncomfortable when you are not leading the discussion or influencing the group project
  • Your dominant demeanor might dissuade other people from speaking up and sharing their opinions
  • You tend to recover quickly from stressful events (e.g. accidents, injuries, illnesses etc.)
  • You have the ability to speak up for yourself and advocate for others (e.g. self-agency)
  • Your goal-orientation and self-motivation makes you an effective leader
  • People who are high in self-efficacy tend to be project leaders, pacesetters and agents of change within organizations and group settings
I had to laugh when I read this evaluation of me. A lot of it I have to admit is terribly true...even if I may not want to admit it.

It is always good to try on occasion to see yourself as others do and I suspect the above pretty well describes me in others' eyes.  I have been told some of this many times, others not so much...but I suspect it is all a pretty accurate assessment of moi.

EEEEK!
